The hospital had a very comfortable environment and good nutrition.I would also like to mention a very good work of the logistic team. Maria Shlykova dealt with all the organizational matters quickly and efficiently. I would like to thank her for the constant contact and attention she has always shown.

I had a hip replacement at Helios Huls. The surgery was performed by Prof. Kraft, very professional, the pain was minimal, and the prosthesis was the best in the class. I walked on my legs the same evening, and since the next day I walked on crutches, and in 4-5 days I did without crutches. The doctors are excellent, the care is good, wards and the hospital looks more like a hotel/sanatorium - everything is very comfortable and beautiful. Food is also at a high level, the menu is varied, but as for me, a lot of bread. Rehabilitation was very good, we worked with all muscle groups according to individual programme. The groups are not large, there are individual sessions, which is very comfortable. The only problem was the language barrier, not all of the staff understood English, and there were some misunderstandings. I got fast and good support from Bukimed and DMU.

I would like to thank DMU staff for the excellent organization of my treatment in Germany at Helios Berlin-Buch. Everything was at a high professional level - selection of a doctor for my profile, all organizational issues, interpreter services and transfers. Thank you to Prof. Dr. Per-ulph Tunn for the excellent heart surgery. I had a successful follow up treatment at the Department of Radiation Oncology with Prof. Robert Krempin. DMU also arranged for me to come for a follow-up visit with all the necessary examinations. I thank the coordinator Maria for her excellent work and attention. I would like to share my experience of treatment in Germany. My husband was diagnosed with sigmoid diverticulitis, his intestinal problems started about 15 years ago. Well, in 2018 the question of resection came up. Naturally, if finances allow, it is better to do it in Germany, Israel or Turkey. We had a consultation with doctors from these countries. I think that we would have had the same good result everywhere. In Turkey it would have been cheapest, somewhere around 10000 Euro. Israel has announced the price of 25000, but our Jewish brothers were ready to haggle, up to 22000 for a stay in a double ward. The best option was offered by Germany. The cost of the treatment was 15000 Euro. And while the prices in Israel are the same everywhere, in Germany it all depends on the clinic. We chose Helios Clinic in Leipzig. On the basis of this clinic there is a private department for those who like comfort. It is a 5-star hotel. Professor Bartels operated on us. I stayed in a room with my husband. The environment is perfect. The clinic is perfect and the staff is very good. We were picked up at the airport in Berlin by a Russian-speaking driver and taken to the clinic where an interpreter helped us with the paperwork. We didn't have any language skills, believe me there were no problems at all. To communicate with the staff through an interpreter on the phone. No problems. And in the end - my husband is a healthy person now. I do not believe that one year ago our doctors predicted his life with a stoma (intestine on the belly) in Germany, doctors made laporoscopy, the operation is reminded of only three small punctures.

I was pleased with Deutsche Medizinische Union: they responded quickly to my application (in contrast to the other two companies I had sent applications to at the same time), offered me the Helios clinic in Kreffeld, which I was very satisfied with, and promptly agreed on treatment dates. The communication with the clinic was very good and very informative.The facilities are very good. The staff are friendly and smiling. My English is poor and I don't speak German at all. My English was enough for everyday communication, but in the evening when the surgeon came to talk about the operation, he called the Russian-speaking nurse to improve communication.About the treatment: I had a knee arthroscopy for a meniscus rupture. Suffice it to say one thing about the treatment: I walked around Dusseldorf 3 days after the surgery and had a "light" shopping trip, and on the fourth day I had a six-hour flight.I would like to mention particularly the work of anaesthesiologists. The anesthesia was excellent. It was like I fell asleep for 5 minutes and then woke up without any discomfort (the surgery lasted over an hour). In general the organisation of work is very different from that in Russia for the better.Now half a year has passed after the surgery and my knee is as good as new.

We flew to Krefeld to do arthroscopy with cartilage repair for a hip joint that had been injured in an accident. Everything is of the highest standard, the staff is polite and courteous. Nutrition in the hospital, of course, is not good for athletes, but in general - they will not let you die of hunger. However, you should take into account that this is Germany (salt, sausage and everything). And yes, there was a hitch when placing in a room as a guest companion. After paying at the front desk for everything I needed (including meals), I got one fizaline and one hard-boiled egg for breakfast for three days. 😂😂😂😂 Anyway, someone didn't follow through and get me into the program. As a result, the kind-hearted staff fed me whatever they could during the day, for which I thank them very much. A lot of Russian speaking and understanding English, so even an interpreter was not really needed, as it turned out.
